Recreational Curling

DROP IN RECREATIONAL CURLING
$12.00 PER GAME
SATURDAYS 9AM TO NOON

Anyone registering through Parks and Leisure is entitled to the three sessions worth of instruction and three games.

Recreational Curling is intended to introduce people, who are interested in the sport, to short sessions where they learn to curl, have some games, and enjoy times with friends and family in a less competitive setting.  Two Programs are offered by the Golden Ears Winter Club: Adult Recreational Curling and Family Recreational Curling. You can register through the Parks and Leisure website.

1. Adult Recreational Curling (19+)
This program is divided into four Sessions. Adults over the age of 19 are encouraged to try curling in a relaxed environment. You will receive 1/2 hr of instruction with regard to safety and how to play the game. The equipment is provided. Participants must wear warm clothing including mitts and hats, and bring along a pair of clean rubber-soled runners to wear during the session only (not outside shoes).

Duration: Saturdays from 9:00 am to 11:30am.
Cost per session is $45.00 per person. A minimum of four people is required to run a session.
Session 1: October 3, 10, and 24

Session 2: November 14, 21, and 28

Session 3: January 16, 23, and 30

Session 4: February 13, 20, and 27.

2. Family Recreational Curling (A ‘Family’ is up to 2 adults)
This program is open to families to try something new together. A 1/2 hour instruction is provided by a qualified instructor who will ensure family safety, and show you how to play the game. The equipment is provided. Participants must wear warm clothing including mitts and hats, and bring along a pair of clean rubber-soled runners to wear during the session only (not outside shoes).
Children under 8 years of age must bring and wear their own helmet.

Duration: Saturdays from 6:00 pm to 8:30pm.
Cost per family per day is $56.00
Families can register to play on any of the following dates:
October 3, 10, 24
November 14, 21, 28
December 5, 12
January 16, 23, 30
February 13, 20, 27
