 Junior Bonspiel a Big Hit!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Olympic themed Junior Bonspiel a success! We appreciate all the people who took the time to volunteer on the many tasks to put this event together. A big thank you goes to….

- Rick and Don, our ice technicians for pebbling and keeping the ice clean and for Rick’s help fixing toilets, taking out garbage, sorting recycling bin.
- Our concession helpers – Allyson; Cheryl; Les; Randy and Patti; John and Adam’s grandparents; Cara
- Our M/C and Club Manager-for-the-day – Bob M.
- Lynne who facilitated our requests (even in her absence).
- Bob M. and Ed for refereeing, resolving on-ice issues and the timing of our games.
- Carol and Bill for their excellent scorekeeping.
- Cheryl for the fantastic Olympic themed goody bags.
- Ruth for arranging and bringing doughnuts for our curlers and coaches.
- Pam for running to the bank.
- Our “Kids-for-the-Day” Novice Curlers – Allyson, Mickey, Cameron, Wayne, Bob A., Bill and Randy.
- Carol and Scott for making all our flags and table centerpieces.
- Carol and Tina for skewering and cutting up fruit.
- Ruth and Cheryl for arranging the successful raffle of the Olympic Mascot Set.
- Our awesome banquet set-up crew – Tracey & Jim, Carol, Marty, Ruth, Pam & Ken, Darlene & Jeff for their strength in bringing up tables and chairs, decorating skills and food set-up and prep.
- Diane Dezura for attending, giving such an inspiring speech to our Juniors and presenting the award medals to our winning teams.
- Our banquet clean-up crew and table/chair movers – Pam & Ken, Darlene & Jeff, Ruth, Carol, Warren, Bob M.
- Ruth for taking all the utensils and bins back to Jim’s Pizza.
- Darlene and Jeff for taking the extra food to the Caring Place where it was well received.
- Jack Stadel and Rudy Baird for building the podium.
