Knights of Columbus Bonspiel 2010. The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic Fraternal organization for men. You have seen us in the Malls selling Charity Appeal tickets for vehicle prizes.

Knights have sponsored curling bonspiels for over 25 years in at least three different locations – Chilliwack, Port Moody, and Maple Ridge. This last bonspiel was held on Saturday, January 16 at Golden Ears Winter Club. The Knight’s bonspiel is open to Knights, wives, family members, and friends. Teams may be all male or mixed. The emphasis is always on Fraternity, Family, and good Fun, not solely competition. Novice curlers are as welcome as those who think they’re experts.

The 2010 Bonspiel had 12 teams made up of men and women – ages teens to eighties – and hailed from Vancouver (3), Langley, Surrey, Burnaby, Port Coquitlam (2) and Maple Ridge (4). We used a points system with 3 sic-end game and following the first fame the teams were staggered by points earned. The final results showed highest points at 48.5 and lowest at 11.

The day finished with a roast beef banquet and cash prizes went to half of the teams.
